Organic Silver Needle White Tea

This SILVER NEEDLE is produced in mountain tea gardens in Lingyun County and Leye County in northwest Guangxi. It is about 1,000 meters above sea level and close to the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. The climate is mild and humid. In spring and summer, there is no severe cold in winter and no intense heat in summer. The annual average temperature is 19-23℃. The annual rainfall is 1700-1800 mm, with clouds and fog all year round. Tea trees mostly grow on the mountains and ridges of 800-1500 meters, and the contiguous tea gardens are mostly distributed in the valleys and streams. The soil has high organic matter content and the soil is deep and fertile, suitable for the growth of tea trees.

The tea species is Pekoe tea, with fat and strong buds and densely batched Pekoe. Picking and processing from March to April every year ensures that the tea leaves are elegant, sweet and fresh, with the best quality throughout the year. Fresh leaves can only be picked in fine weather, and they will naturally wither to dryness, and then use low-temperature baking to control moisture, which is conducive to preservation. After being carefully selected, the tea buds, leaves and broken parts with faint color are removed, and the appearance is neat, clean and glossy. The products are stored in cold storage to ensure the fresh quality of tea.

Because this producing area is surrounded by mountains all the year ,it has rarely had contact with the outside world since ancient times. Farmers here have been growing tea for generations. Tea growing and tea making techniques have been passed down from generation to generation, so it quickly became famous for tea. Due to the difficulty of transportation of tea here, not much of it flows out of the outside world, and gradually became rare. In the Ming Dynasty, it later became a royal tribute, which could only be consumed by the royal family

Since the land here has been cultivated for hundreds of years, no other crops have been planted. The local government also included it in the scope of protection. Under the publicity of the government, there has been no private use of pesticides and fertilizers here, and it has obtained NOP and CE organic certification.
