Black Oolong, a type of Taiwanese Oolong tea, is mainly produced in Taitung County, Taiwan. Black Oolong is an oolong tea with a heavy degree of fermentation (80%-90%). Because the tea soup is orange-red in color, the color is like black tea, but the taste still maintains the flavor of oolong tea, so it is named Black oolong.
Our black oolong tea uses Yunnan big leaf tea as raw material which has been tested in a certified laboratory for 200 pesticides, and is within the EU MRL limits set for those 200 pesticide residues. All of our tea are plucked from our tea garden which have obtained EU organic certification
This lovely tea was steamed and pressed into a 200 gram tea cake with a medium+ level of compression to lock in the aroma and flavors of tea, allowing for a gradual aging over time.
