Rare Orchid, also known as "Qi Lan" in Mandarin Chinese, is a fragrant oolong tea from Wuyi mountain, Fujian Province, China, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its pristine natural beauty. Our Rare Orchid Oolong Tea, made from tender spring leaves of Qi Lan cultivar benefited from sweet mountain spring water and mineral rich soil of Wuyi Mountain, has been lightly roasted to create a highly aromatic and wonderfully balanced infusion. 

Baked to perfection, Rare Orchid Oolong offers an infusion that harmoniously blends a fragrant floral note with lightly baked (buttery, brioche and vanilla) and sweet, juicy, fruity flavors (honeydew melon, peach). The liquor is so gentle and smooth with a silky mouth feel, while the floral sweetness lingers long on the palate. 

Our Organic Rare Orchid Tea is come from the organic tea gardens in WuYI mountain which is certified by ECOCERT on USDA and EU organic standard.

Appearance: Clear, golden-amber coloured liquor.  

Aroma:  Three main aroma groups are noted - Roasted, toasty (baked bread, vanilla, caramel), floral (orange blossom) and fruity notes (peach, nectarine). 

Flavour: Warm, sweet, lightly roasted flavour (baked brioche, buttery, vanilla) is in a perfect balance with honeyed floral (rose, gardenia) and fruity flavours (honeydew melon, peach). 

Mouthfeel: Well-rounded, smooth, mellow liquor with a silky mouthfeel. Lingering sweet finish.
